1985 - INFICON Holding AG was founded as a subsidiary of Balzers AG, a leading manufacturer of vacuum components.
1992 - INFICON became an independent company after a management buyout.
1996 - INFICON went public with an initial public offering (IPO) on the SIX Swiss Exchange.
2000 - INFICON acquired the instrumentation business of Balzers AG, expanding its product portfolio.
2005 - INFICON acquired the leak detector business of Leybold Vacuum, further expanding its product portfolio.
2010 - INFICON acquired the residual gas analyzer business of Stanford Research Systems, Inc.
2015 - INFICON acquired the critical sensing and process control business of ATMI, Inc.
2019 - INFICON acquired the gas analysis business of Riemer Scientific, Inc.
