  • EBITDA Margin:: Maintained strong profitability with an EBITDA margin of 18.2%, though gross margin faced headwinds from exchange rates and U.S. tariffs.

Segment Performance

The Weather and Environment business area faced a challenging market environment, driven by a decline in the renewable energy market and a strong comparison period in aviation and meteorology. Orders received declined by 21%, leading to a decrease in the order book. However, the company maintained a solid profitability, and the pipeline remains on a good level. As Kai Öistämö noted, "The demand trends in Weather and Environment are cyclical, and we've enjoyed a particularly strong cycle over the past two years. Now, it's returning to a more normal level."

Gross Margin and Operating Expenses

The company saw a decrease in gross margin in both business areas, mainly due to exchange rate impacts and U.S. tariff effects. However, Vaisala has mitigated the impact of tariffs by raising prices. Operating expenses have been adjusted to match the market picture, with EUR 3 million in restructuring expenses considered extraordinary.

Outlook and Valuation

Vaisala's business outlook remains unchanged, with net sales between €590 million and €605 million and an operating result between €90 million and €100 million. The company's valuation metrics appear reasonable, with a P/E Ratio of 24.62, P/B Ratio of 5.39, and EV/EBITDA of 12.33. The dividend yield stands at 1.97%. Analysts estimate next year's revenue growth at 3.5%, indicating a relatively stable outlook for the company.

Growth Drivers

The company's Industrial Measurements business continues to grow, driven by all market segments, including China and Japan. Xweather is also performing well, with a double-digit organic growth rate expected to be sustainable. The company's investment in digital capabilities, including an online sales channel for distributors and end-users, is expected to impact services delivery and overall sales in the long term.
