1960 - Leidos Holdings, Inc. was founded as Science Applications Incorporated (SAI) by J. Robert Beyster.
1968 - SAI went public with an initial public offering (IPO).
1980s - The company expanded its services to include systems engineering, integration, and technical services.
1990s - SAI acquired several companies, expanding its capabilities in areas such as environmental services and systems integration.
2006 - SAI acquired the Intelligence and Defense Technologies (IDT) division of the Titan Corporation.
2012 - SAI acquired the analytics and mission solutions business of the Lockheed Martin Corporation.
2013 - SAI changed its name to Leidos Holdings, Inc. and began trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker symbol LDOS.
2016 - Leidos acquired the information systems and global solutions business of Lockheed Martin Corporation.
2019 - Leidos acquired the Dynetics, Inc., a provider of advanced engineering, scientific, and technical services.
