1951 - Virco Mfg. Corporation was founded by Robert E. Castle and Robert D. Ingalz.
1953 - Virco introduced its first product line of folding chairs and tables.
1961 - Virco began manufacturing school furniture, including chairs, desks, and tables.
1965 - Virco went public with an initial public offering (IPO).
1970 - Virco acquired the school furniture division of American Seating Company.
1980 - Virco introduced its first line of computer furniture.
1990 - Virco acquired the furniture division of Library Bureau.
1995 - Virco introduced its first line of ergonomic chairs.
2000 - Virco acquired the school furniture division of Krueger International.
2005 - Virco introduced its first line of environmentally friendly furniture.
2010 - Virco celebrated its 60th anniversary and was named one of the top 10 furniture manufacturers in the United States.
