1990 - Sirius Satellite Radio was founded by Martine Rothblatt, David Margolese, and Robert Briskman.
1992 - Sirius Satellite Radio received its first FCC license to operate a satellite radio system.
1994 - XM Satellite Radio was founded by Lon Levin and Gary Parsons.
1997 - XM Satellite Radio launched its first satellite, Rock.
2001 - Sirius Satellite Radio launched its first satellite, Sirius-1.
2002 - Sirius Satellite Radio launched its commercial service.
2008 - Sirius Satellite Radio and XM Satellite Radio merged to form Sirius XM Radio.
2011 - Sirius XM Radio acquired the connected vehicle services division of Agero.
2013 - Sirius XM Radio acquired the audio entertainment company, TuneIn.
2017 - Sirius XM Radio acquired a minority stake in the music streaming service, Pandora Radio.
2018 - Sirius XM Radio acquired Pandora Radio for $3.5 billion, expanding its reach in the music streaming market.
