Company Story
1992 - Stratus Properties Inc. was founded by H.C. Kothmann, a prominent rancher and businessman.
1993 - The company went public with an initial public offering (IPO) of 1.5 million shares.
1994 - Stratus Properties acquired its first property, the 1,200-acre Hometown Village in Pflugerville, Texas.
1995 - The company began development of the 1,500-acre Circle C Ranch in southwest Austin.
1997 - Stratus Properties acquired the 1,200-acre Lantana Ranch in north Austin.
2000 - The company formed a joint venture with the City of Austin to develop the 700-acre Mueller Airport redevelopment project.
2004 - Stratus Properties acquired the 1,100-acre Barton Creek community in southwest Austin.
2007 - The company began development of the 1,200-acre Jones Crossing project in College Station, Texas.
2010 - Stratus Properties acquired the 1,000-acre Magnolia Place project in Magnolia, Texas.
2013 - The company formed a joint venture with the City of Austin to develop the 425-acre Easton Park project.
2018 - Stratus Properties acquired the 1,200-acre Lantana West project in north Austin.
